Two Regina men have now been charged in connection with a pair of armed robberies of businesses over the summer.The men, aged 64 and 50, are charged with two counts each of robbery using a firearm, disguise with intent and breach of undertaking. The 64-year-old faces one additional count of unauthorized possession of a firearm while the younger man has two such charges. The 50-year-old is additionally charged with two counts of possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order.The pair appeared at Regina Provincial Court this week.Late last month, the Regina Police Service released information that they had arrested the 64-year-old but were still looking for a second suspect. The second man was arrested and charged this week.The older man was arrested after an alleged robbery went badly for him, resulting in his suffering injuries in a confrontation with witnesses at the scene.Police said they were dispatched at about 1 a.m. on Aug. 25 to a business on the 800 block of Argyle Street North, where they found the injured 64-year-old suspect. He was taken to hospital by EMS. A second male was said to have fled the scene.Police — who located a pellet gun at the scene — were told two men armed with guns had been inside the business.Subsequent investigation has now led to the two men also being charged in connection with a July 10 incident. On that date at about 1:15 a.m., police were called to a business robbery on the 900 block of East Arcola Avenue.Police said two males, armed with what appeared to be firearms, entered the business, demanded money and escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash.
